Ingredients

    Crust:
    1 1/2 cups water
    3 cups whole wheat flour
    1 Tbsp Olive Oil
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. yeast
    The following are optional, but healthy, crust additions and are included in the nutritional data:
    1 Tbsp Flaxseed Meal
    1 Tbsp. Wheat Germ
    2 Tbsp. Wheat Bran


    Toppings:
    1 - 15-oz can pizza sauce
    1 lb. ground turkey, browned
    30 pieces turkey pepperoni
    9 oz (3 links) Italian turkey sausage
    1 - 15 oz. can diced tomatoes w/ basil, garlic & oregano
    1 cup chopped Green peppers
    1 cup chopped Onions
    1 - 8 oz pkg sliced portabella mushrooms
    2 Tbsp. Diced jalapenos (optional)
    16 oz pkg grated Mozzerella cheese

Directions

This recipes makes TWO pizzas.

1. In a bowl or bread machine, mix all ingredients for the crust. Cover, set aside and let rise for 10 - 15 minutes.

2. While crust is rising, cut up veggies to desired sizes. Remove casing from Italian turkey sausage links and fry them in a pan like you would ground beef. Add mushrooms, peppers and onions and saute for a couple minutes.

3. Spread dough for the crust on two baking sheets or large pizza pans. Spread 1/2 can sauce on each pizza. Put 1/2 can of tomatoes and 15 slices of turkey pepperoni on top of each pizza. Add turkey sausage and veggies.

4. Bake pizzas at 425 degrees for 8 minutes, take out of oven and top with cheese, and return to oven, switching racks the second time - Bake another approx. 8 minutes or until crust is brown and cheese is bubbling. Cut each pizza into 8 pieces. Serving size is for one slice. Enjoy!
