Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 Cup Brown Rice
    2 Cups Chicken Broth (fat free is best)
    2 tbls Honey
    1/4 tsp ground Ginger
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    Red Pepper flakes to taste (very few -less than 1/4 tsp- make this fairly spicy!)

Directions

For Slightly Firm Rice:

Soak brown rice for 45 minutes in chicken broth. Bring to a boil with a lid on the pot, let simmer until large starchy bubbles begin to come out of the rice, then turn off the heat. Let rice stand with lid on the pot for another 20 minutes. Fold in all the remaining ingredients and serve.

For a Softer, stickier Rice:

Soak rice in broth for 45 min. Bring to boil, when large starchy bubbles come out of rice...add another cup of chicken broth and simmer on med heat for another 20 minutes. Fold in remaining ingredients and serve.

Each serving is approximately 1/3 cup.
