This is a very good recipe, I make it quite often and my husband loves it, I use white meat and sometimes I take the carcus of the turkey and boil it for the broth and take all the excess meat off the bone. - 1/15/09

Last time I made it, I used a whole turkey leg and simmered that in the broth/water for about an hour...then took it out, cooled, removed the meat and add it into the soup. Thanks!

Make sure you use a mildly seasoned broth for this flavorful soup. I have made this the last three years using Thanksgiving turkey and homemade broth. This year I replaced the noodles with barley for another fine taste. I also like to add mushrooms. TFS! - 12/1/11
