Ingredients

3 pounds rump or sirloin tip roast
    1 cup beef broth
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
6 ounces heavy beer (e.g., Guiness)
    2 TSP garlic
2TSP kitchen bouquet or Worcestershire sauce
    dash black pepper

Directions

1. Trim excess fat from the rump roast, and place in a slow cooker. Add the beef broth, onion soup and beer. Cook on Low setting for 7 hours.

2. Slice the meat on the diagonal, return to juice and let sit for a while.

3. Serve on rolls with sauce for dipping or eat plain, as desired.

If you let it cool, you will be able to skim quite a bit of fat off the top as well.
