Introduction
Lite smoked sausage with a KICK grilled in foil on the BBQ...So simple to make and so DELICIOUS! Lite smoked sausage with a KICK grilled in foil on the BBQ...So simple to make and so DELICIOUS!Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients
-
1 Pkg (14 oz) Hillshire Farms Lite Smoked Sausage
3 Jalapeno Peppers, sliced
1 Green Pepper, cut into bite sized chunks
1 Red Pepper, cut into bite sized chunks
1 Sweet Onion, cut into bite sized chunks
1 Foil Cooking Bag
1/4 Cup Tabasco Sauce
1 (10 oz) Jar of Sweet and Sour Sauce
Directions
1. Cut up the sausage, peppers, and onions and place in a foil bag
2. Mix tabasco sauce with sweet and sour sauce in a small bowl
3. Pour the liquid mixture over the ingredients in the foil bag
4. Seal the edges of the foil bag tightly
5. Place the foil on the grill
6. Cook for 45 minutes, turning the bag over every 15 minutes
7. Slit the bag open and serve!
Make your own foil bag!
Take a 12"x18" sheet of heavy duty foil and lay it flat, put food on the foil, take a second sheet of the same size and lay on top of food. Fold and crimp the edges.
This recipe has a spicy kick...you can turn it down a couple notches by reducing the amount of jalapeno peppers and getting rid of the seeds. You can also reduce the amount of tabasco sauce. It's very versatile, so make it how you like it!
I throw mine over rice or on top of crusty french bread! Both are so good!
