Form in bread pan, spread Catsup on top.

Ingredients

    1 1/2 lbs Lean grd Beef
    1 cup chopped yellow onion
    1 cup Quacker oats
    1 large egg, beaten
    1 Can Campbells condensed Tomato soup
    1/2 tsp salt
    Catsup, for topping the meat loaf

Directions

Bake at 350 for 75 min.
Drain excess fat from pan, let stand 5 min before serving

    I just made it and loved it. I did modify the recipe a bit. Used 1lb hamburg and only 1/2 can of tomato soup based on the above complaint "too mushy". I added garlic diced, 4 small cloves and spread ketchup on top before baking for 1 hr only.
    Once it cooled it was moist, not mushy, and I loved it

    toooo mushy!!! kinda like baby food!!!!! my family did not enjoy it - we had made this to share with a friend - went our and bought Cracker Barrel Meatloaf to take him. Will not try again! Worst meatloaf I ever made - so sad--I was teaching my daughter to make it and needed a recipe with specifics - 7/26/09
