Ingredients

    Ingredients:


    Cabbage, fresh, 4 cup, chopped (remove)
    Chicken Breast, no skin, 1 unit (yield from 1 lb ready-to-cook (remove)
    Dill weed, fresh, .5 cup sprigs (remove)
    Bay Leaf, 1 tsp, crumbled (remove)
    Red Potato, 200 grams (remove)
    Water, tap, 6 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp (remove)
    Canned Tomatoes, 2 cup (remove)
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)


Directions

Chop up all the vegeatables and chicken breast, add water, canned tomatoes, and spices. Simmer on low heat or in slow cooker for 4 -5 hours.
May add a tablespoon of sour cream to each bowl.
My mother used to make this soup on Saturday and warm up for Sunday lunch. Tastes better the next day.

    My mom's been making this soup since I was little!! Its always been my favorite. However, she uses a whole chicken, and adds celery. I'm sure it tastes the same either way! - 10/7/09

    Very Good
    I put in more chicken and used fresh tomatoes, but didn't change anything else. Good comfort food on a chilly day and for very few calories! - 10/14/12
