Ingredients

0.50 tsp Salt
0.50 tsp Baking Soda
2.50 cup Self rising flour
8 serving margarine - Smart Balance, Smart Balance Light Buttery Spread - 1 Tbsp
.5 cup Buttermilk, lowfat
Directions
Preheat oven to 450
Stir together flour,salt, sugar and baking soda.
Cut in shortening till it looks like fine crumbs
Stir in buttermilk until dough leaves the sides of the bowl and round up in to a ball.
Place dough on a floured surface.
Knead gently 5 or so times... until smooth.
Roll it 1/2 inch thick
Cut with bis cutter.
Place on UNGREASED cookie sheet
For soft biscuits put close together and cor crust ones put about an in. apart
Bake 10 -12 min until golden brown
