Introduction
Adapted from Deceptively Delicious Adapted from Deceptively DeliciousNumber of Servings: 1
Ingredients
-
1/4 c. carrot puree
1/2 c. avocado puree
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch salt
Directions
In food processor, combine carrot and avocado purees, vanilla and salt. Add cocoa powder and sugar and incorporate.
Depending upon the moisture content of the purees, you may want to add water or coffee to thin the consistency a bit. This is best served warm.
Carrot puree: I usually peel and chop carrots and cook them in the microwave, covered with a little water added until they are soft. I have tried using frozen carrots to eliminate prep time, but surprisingly they didn't soften up as well during cooking, were harder to puree, and didn't taste as sweet.
