Introduction

I was trying to duplicate a dish my grandmother serves. This is as close I came to it. My version is less sweeter, yet still delicious. She probably uses a lot more sugar! I was trying to duplicate a dish my grandmother serves. This is as close I came to it. My version is less sweeter, yet still delicious. She probably uses a lot more sugar!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 15oz can of pears in heavy syrup.
    1/2 cup water
    2 tbsp butter
    2 tsp granulated sugar
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    2 dashes of cinnamon

Directions

Add can of pears to sauce pan followed by other ingredients. Bring to boil and then simmer for 15-20 minutes. Serve warm. Makes 4 servings.
Goes great with Pillsbury biscuits.
