This is an easy way to make your own hummus. This is an easy way to make your own hummus.
Number of Servings: 5


    1 can garbanzo beans, drained but reserve liquid
    Juice of one lemon
    1/2 tsp. cumin powder
    1 jalapeno pepper, sliced
    1 clove of garlic, sliced
    1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
    1/2 tsp. salt


Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend as fine as possible. Add the garbanzo beans and blend as well until as smooth as possible. Add more of the reserved liquid if the mixture is too thick. That's it. Serve with pita bread.
