Introduction

Perfect for eating warm or cold by itself, but great in oatmeal, on Potato Latkes, Pork chops and more. Perfect for eating warm or cold by itself, but great in oatmeal, on Potato Latkes, Pork chops and more.

Ingredients

    15 or so large Jonagold Apples
    3 Tbsp ground cinnamon
    1 cup water
    4 (32oz) clean mason jars for canning.

Directions

Peel and core apples; cut into chunky and put in a large stock pot. add 1 cup water and layer the cinnamon while adding the apples. Cook over med-high heat stirring occasionally, till apples start to become tender then switch spoon for a potato masher. Mash apples leaving a chunky applesauce. This makes roughly 4 32oz mason jars full so plan on canning it. nutritional in for is based on 1/2 cup serving size.
