Introduction
My daughter's school had a Fall Fest and needed some chili. I had some sausage and made this recipe. Unfortunately, this delicious recipe got dumped in with all the other chilis and served to the masses :( Oh well, at least I discovered a new recipe! Ingredients
-
-1 lb. Bob Evans sausage browned, drained well
-1 3/4 C onions, slightly grilled after the sausage is cooked
-1 C drained canned mushrooms
-1 can drained light red kidney beans
-1 can Dierberg's Chile beans
-1 can petite diced tomatoes
-2 cups defrosted frozen corn (frozen corn then defrosted to make 2 C)
-Cholula hot sauce to taste and to flavor!
Directions
--Brown and drain the sausage well. After most of the grease is out of the skillet, saute the onions until almost brown tender.
--MEANWHILE, add all other ingredients into the crockpot and stir well. Add your onions when done and stir again. Cook on high covered until it begins to boil and then stir and put on low for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
--Makes 9 servings of 1 C each.
--Enjoy!!
