A staple from my childhood, except that my mother used olive oil. We use flax oil as a great way to get vegetarian omega-3s.
This recipe comes from the book "Breaking the Vicious Cycle" by Elaine Gottschall, and it complies with the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. But it is also just yummy ;-).
Same as my other carrot lettuce salad, but minus the craisins and flax oil.

This is from theveggietable.com. I use coconut oil instead of butter or olive oil and took out the salt, but otherwise it is unchanged.
I use home canned cubed venison and canned tomatoes. This is a good way to use up those garden tomatoes and zucchini. If you do not have canned venison, you can brown about 2 pounds of cubed venison along with the onion and garlic, then add the ingrediants as normal. I like to serve my soup with homemade bread out of the bread machine.
This is a good for you soup that is easy to make and very tasty.
This is a healthy fill you up soup that I came up with one day when my daughter had a cold. I use a frozen onion and pepper mix for convenience as well as a whole grain rice blend that includes brown and wild rice with soft wheat and rye berries.

This is a great dish to bring to Thanksgiving, Christmas, or a BBQ. It is always a crowd pleaser.
