My husband's favorite. I kept decreasing the sugar until we found a pie that wasn't too sweet but just sweet enough. Kroger Pie Crust is better than any other for flakiness.
cream brown sugar & shortening, add applesauce, cinnamon, cloves, flour, baking soda & raisins, mix all together, poor dough into a 9x13" baking pan and bake at 350-375 for about 40 min or until done
