Delicious high protein dish. Great cold or warm and served plain or topped with salsa.
This is a dense, filling low carb chocolate cake made with nut flours instead of high carb foods such as rice flours etc. Omitting the chocolate topping will reduce the carbs even further. This can also be adapted to other ingredients such as adding different chopped nuts, or increasing the carbs with chocolate chips or the addition of berries.
Sweetener to the equivalent of up to a 1/4 cup of sugar can be added. I find that if you don't have a sweet tooth lower amounts can be used.
I had to come up with a pizza alternative because I have to watch my carbs....this is a yummy alternative!

This is a lean meat meatball w/ minimum 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs for whole recipe.
Sooo yummy, if you want this a bit healthier omitt dark chocolate chips and use agave nector instead of honey
This is NOT low calorie and definitely a "special occasion" dessert, BUT it IS low carb. 4.5 net carbs in an 8th of the pie. Even less for one of the 9 pieces in a 9" x 9" dish. That's pretty awesome once in awhile for folks who can't eat sugar, like diabetics!
This can serve 2 [or 4 if you're being really good], but it is awesome and fairly low carb considering it really is cake. I was going to add a photo, but it got eaten too quick!
