This was amazing! My kids are sugar intolerant so I used Splenda instead and it still came out great. I then used sugar free chocolate pudding as the frosting and was able to use it as a birthday cake! Definitely a keeper!!!
I cut the sugar to 1/2 cup and added a pinch of salt and made cupcakes. The cupcakes were very moist. A good vegan recipe.
LOVED it! Very moist, very rich...sprinkled a little powdered sugar on top and it was a hit!
I made this today with my kids and they LOVED it...I had the worse chocolate craving and it did the trick. I added 2 more TBSP of cocoa to the recipe to make it a little more chocolatey and put a small amount of low fat cream cheese/ cocoa icing on top..very good..Thanks!!
Not much flavor like it was missing something. My hubby didn't like it, but the kids did. I put some powdered sugar on top and it made it a little better. I think I would try adding in some mashed bananas with the apples. I used applecider vinegar since it didn't specify.
I was skeptical about this cake, but made it as a trial... I thought it was wonderful as did the boyfriend who is anti "diet" food... I used a betty crocker frosting which added alot of calories, but it was still under my daily allowance for dessert! Will make again!!!
I am always skeptical of low-fat chocolate cake, especially one without eggs - but it was great! I used Cool Whip Lite for a topping - no one even knew it was healthy.
It's excellent...,moist..and chocolaty....I added brown organic sugar instead of regular...and next time I'll add walnuts.....the kids loved it ..definitly will add to our family recipes...Ideal for ...nistia.(christian greek orthodox fasting )
