question: If you're trying to avoid cane sugar, can you substitute for maple syrup or agave nectar? because I want to try this
No brown sugar
I made this for Father's Day dinner and it was a huge hit! My mother-in-law doesn't like anything too spicy so I only used 1/4 of a jalepeno but other than that followed the recipe exactly. Served over quinoa with steamed green beans on the side. Will definitely make this one again!
