This is awesome! I made this today - altho I adjusted the ingredients to match 3# of ground beef, as I had a 3# pkg to use up. I browned the beef first in order to drain the fat. Added all the ingredients to my slow cooker and cooked on high for 6 hours. Delicious and I now have 2 freezer meals.
Awesome recipe. It's convenient to not have to soak the beans. And while you CAN put in the ground meat raw -- I prefer to use ground beef and brown it first so I can then eliminate the excess fat and grease. We used this for tacos, nachoes, and as a topper for tater tot.
