this is similar to the broth I make but in the interest of good health, I leave out the salt.
Very good...I make my stock this way...sometimes add extra garlic, a bit of sage and bacon for a deeper "layered" flavor. You can discard the bacon and skim off the fat, so it doesn't increase the calorie level significantly.
