Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

I can of white kidney beans, approximately 2 cups, drained
1/3 cup of dill pickles, chopped
1 can of tuna packed in water, drained
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 clove of garlic
1/2 cup of water, as needed
    pepper to taste

Directions

Keep water and pepper aside. Blend other ingredients in food processor and add water as needed to obtain the texture you desire. I like my dip very smooth and a bit thin, but you may want it thick and chunky. Season to taste with pepper.

Makes 5 servings of 1/2 cup each

Really good and so easy to fix. Serve on a cracker, in a scooped out tomato or with piece of Romaine lettuce! A great way to get my tuna for someone who doesn't really like tuna. - 11/14/09

Tasty dip-- I really enjoyed on a cracker. I used northern beans, and sweet relish since that's what I had on hand. Also put in a 1/2 tsp of dried dill weed. Wasn't a huge fan of the texture/consistency, so I may make again without blending as much for a chunkier spread. Thanks! - 10/23/10

I substituted sugar-free sweet relish for dill pickles, and a Tbsp olive oil and some lemon juice for the water. Put on toasted English Muffins with 2% Swiss Cheese on top and put under the broiler until cheese melted & browned. Loved it! - 1/7/14

This recipe is great, especially for lunch on the go! It tastes a lot like tuna salad, but the beans make it creamy instead of mayo. I, too, left it chunky, served on a pita with lettuce and tomato! Yum :) - 8/14/11
