Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

1 cup corn meal or grits
1.5 cup chicken broth or stock
    1.5 cup water
    Salt, garlic to taste

Directions

Boil broth and water, add grits. Stir and immediately reduce heat to medium low. Stir constantly, adding salt and garlic to taste. Polenta will be done when it pulls away from the bottom of the pan and is very thick. Depending on the type of grit used, this can be anywhere from 15-30 minutes.

Pour into a cake pan and smooth. Refrigerate at least 15 minutes, overnight preferred. When cool, cut into 6 pieces. Rehead by pan frying or broiling.
