Ingredients
-
4 cups Green Beans - fresh or frozen work well - do not substitute Canned
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Clove Garlic
1 Tbsp Oregano (fresh is best, use 1/2 Tbsp for dried)
1 Tbsp Basil (fresh is best, use 1/2 Tbsp for dried)
1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar (optional)
Directions
If using fresh green beans, snap and discard the ends, and break into 1-2 inch pieces.
Heat the olive oil on medium heat in a skillet. Peel and press the garlic clove into the oil. Saute until the garlic just starts to sizzle. Add the Oregano and Basil. Stir to mix evenly.
Add the green beans. Cook stirring occaisonally. I like a bit of crunchiness in my beans, which takes about 5-7 minutes for frozen.
Optional:
Sprinkle 1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar after removing from heat and toss well.
