Introduction
Supposedly this bread was made by bush settlers in the Australian Outback. It may be baked on an open fire or a regular oven. One recipe found called for beer instead of milk, then wrap the dough around a stick and cook over an open fire. This recipe uses milk and a regular oven. I don't think I would be successful in keeping it on the stick! We enjoy it with split pea soup or beans. Supposedly this bread was made by bush settlers in the Australian Outback.
