Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    - 1 cup all purpose flour (unbleached)
    - 2 tsp baking powder
    - 1/2 tsp salt
    - 1/3 cup of unsweetened applesauce
    - 1/4 cup skim milk or milk substitute


    *OPTIONAL*

    - 1/3 cup of Splenda (more or less to taste)

    - blend of spices (cinnamon, pumpkin spice, ginger, whichever you want).

    - nuts, flaxseeds, and fruit can also be added.

Directions

Preheat the oven the 400 degrees F.

In a bowl, blend the flour, applesauce, milk, salt, baking powder, and spices. stir out the lumps until it is a nice but thick texture.

grease a pan.

scoop out the biscuits and spread evenly along the pan.

Cook for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Let them cool and enjoy! Pairs nicely with coffee or tea.

    I enjoyed these, but the second time I made them I made them with a tablespoon of Vanilla Greek Yogurt.0%fat. which gave them a nice moist texture, the vanilla made them even better! - 6/13/18
