Ingredients

    1 c. whole wheat flour (I use white whole wheat)
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 tbsp unsalted butter, cold
    2 tsp honey
    1/2 c. buttermilk or low fat milk, cold

Directions

Preheat the oven to 450*

Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse corn meal.

Add in the honey and buttermilk and mix until combined.

Using a large spoon drop the biscuits onto a baking pan. Bake 8-10 minutes. Make 8 biscuits.

    delectable. I made them a bit sweeter by substituting the honey with a full tablespoon molasses. They were a real hit with my kids alongside mashed sweet potatoes. - 11/13/11

    Incredible!
    These were so tasty and moist. I used 3/4 a cup of whole wheat flour and added a 1/4 a cup of white flour. I also added vinegar to milk add added a little more to make a moist drop busicuit dough. Delicious we had them with homemade pea soup - 5/5/11
