Introduction

This recipe comes from my Well Done (TX) Cookbook. It is so easy and tastes great! I use only 1 tbsp. sugar, but the real recipe calls for 2 Tbsp., so I reflected the change in this recipe calculation. This recipe comes from my Well Done (TX) Cookbook. Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    Combine:
    1 Cup flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar

    Stir In:
    1 cup yellow or white corn meal

    Add:
    2 eggs
    1 cup 1% milk

    Stir In:
    flour from the sides

    Beat:
    until barely moistened

    Add:
    3 Tbsp. cooking oil

    Pour:
    Into a well-greased, pre-heated iron skillet or muffin tin

    Bake: at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes

Directions

Makes 6-8 servings. Recipe calculated for 6.
