Ingredients

8.8 Fresh Li'l Butterball Young Turkey (minus giblets and neck)
    1 Tbsp Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 c EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
    2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
    1 Tbsp Dried Basil
    2 tsp ground Sage
    1/2 tsp cracked Black Pepper

Directions

*NOTE: In a whole turkey, minus giblets and neck, there is 43% edible meat. (For my recipe purposes, 8.8 lb turkey minus giblets and neck = 7.6 lbs, only 3.8 lbs of edible meat - 3 cooked ounces is a serving, or 4 ounces raw) FIGURE YOUR WEIGHT ACCORDINGLY.

Thaw and rinse turkey. Sprinkle flour in turkey roasting bag.
Mix EVOO, Garlic Powder, Dried Basil, Sage and Black Pepper in small bowl. Brush on breast side of turkey. Place turkey in bag, breast side down. Brush spice mix on back, making sure to get in creases. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.
Roast in 325* oven 2 hours - turn turkey breast side up, brush on remaining marinade. Bake additional 30 minutes or until thigh breaks off easily (or temperature is reached on thermometer)
Serving size = 3 oz cooked meat
