Introduction

I weight train and my trainer has told me to increase my protein intake. Since I don't eat chicken, I made a lean ground beef & turkey meatloaf that contains about 25 grams of protein per 4 oz serving. The recipe is below. Since I don't eat chicken, I made a lean ground beef & turkey meatloaf that contains about 25 grams of protein per 4 oz serving. The recipe is below.

Ingredients

    96% Fat Free ground beef (36 oz)
    93% Fat Free ground turkey (I'll sometimes use 97% Fat Free) (20 oz)
    1 cup raw onions
    1/2 cup raw green peppers
    1/2 cup Ketchup
    1 cup egg substitute
    1/2 cup old fashioned 100% Whole Grain Oats
    Seasonings: paprika, oregano, pepper, garlic powder


Directions

I blend the onions, peppers, oatmeal, egg substitute and ketchup in a blender and mix the result in the ground beef and turkey. Add seasonings based on your taste. Shape the entire mixture into a loaf and cook in oven at 375 degrees F for about 90 minutes.
