Introduction
This Recipe originated in the Good Housekeeping Cookbook from 1980. Ingredients

1/4 cup Butter,
4 cups Onions,sliced paper thin
1 tsp Sugar,
1 tbsp all purpose Flour,
5 cups Home Made, Low Sodium Chicken Broth,
1 cup Home Made, Low Sodium Beef Broth
1/2 cup red cooking wine
2 tbsp worchestershire sauce
3 tbsp Kikkoman Ponzu soya sauce
2 tsp Mrs. Dash Extra Spicy
Directions
Add butter to pan on medium heat allowing to melt and start to bubble.
Add all onions and the sugar cooking for 10 minutes or slightly longer to just start to brown.
Add Worchestershire sauce, Kikkoman Ponzu soya sauce flour and spices, continuing to cook over medium heat.
Add soup one cup at a time stirring to get all the browned bits of the bottom of the pan.
Cook for 1 hour minimum to blend flavours through the soup.
Serve with crusty bread topped with grated swiss cheese for a traditional soup or top with your favourite grated cheese to suit your own taste.
