Introduction

I saw a recipe for Tuna Burgers and wondered if I could lighten it up a little. This is what I came up with. They fall apart pretty easily. I saw a recipe for Tuna Burgers and wondered if I could lighten it up a little. This is what I came up with. They fall apart pretty easily.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    2 stalks celery, finely chopped
    1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 glove garlic, finely chopped
2 cans light chunk tuna, drained
1/2 cup italian style bread crumbs
    2 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
    3 egg whites
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Directions

Combine all ingredients except olive oil. Divide into 6 balls and shape into patties. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook patties in olive oil until browned on both sides, turning at least once during cooking. Makes 6.

We like to serve ours with a slice of American cheese, and honey mustard on the side.

    Very Good
We made these today for lunch. We wanted to adapt a Po'boys recipe we had for dinner, so we coated the patties in a mixture of cornmeal and Cajun seasoning and served them with fat free broccoli slaw. So good! The patties worked very well with this. This will be my go-to tuna patty recipe! - 8/26/10

    Incredible!
Tasted very good. Very simple to make! I will definately make these again! Next time I will use only about half of the Old bay. It was just a little too much seasoning for us. - 9/17/08
