Introduction
Veggies cooked with Garlic, red wine and tinned tomatoes, can be served with steamed potatoes or mash. I would even add some beef to the dish if you want a more balanced meal. This would make a great side dish to have with some steak and boiled potatoes.
My Grandmother Gave me beans out of her garden and told me to cook them with onion, tomato and garlic, So I did but added my own flare to the dish and added some red wine and extra veggies and a tiny bit of sugar, and it turned out really well.
(Add any veggies you want I didn't measure out the quantities 100% when I made this dish, so there was probably extra veggies in mine but I wanted to get a rough Idea of the calorie count of the meal I prepared) Veggies cooked with Garlic, red wine and tinned tomatoes, can be served with steamed potatoes or mash. Tips
Add or remove any veggies you want, you can also add beef strips and for extra flavor add stock (beef/chicken/veg) Just experiment that's what I did : )
Directions
Cut and Prepare carrots, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini and onion.
If adding beef I would cut it into strips sear on high heat then remove, put to the side and add after all of the other veggies have been added to slowly cook with everything else.
Cook onion when soft, add Garlic, red wine and sugar simmer for a minute or two. After the onion is soft add the other veggies and cook all on low heat, you may need to add a little water or u could use stock.
Stir about every 10 min and cook for about an hour until veggies are tender.
Then serve
Serving Size: Makes 8 cups, 1 cup serving
