Ingredients

    1-16 oz. pkg. of green split peas
    8 cups H2O
    3/4 c. celery, chopped
    3/4 c. onion, chopped
    25 (more or less) baby carrots, cut as you like
    potatoes, peeled, washed, cubed

Directions

Put ham bone in dutch oven or soup kettle with water. Add other ingredients - adjust quantities if you like more/less of an ingredient. Bring to a boil and then turn down heat; cover and simmer. Soup will become creamy. Take care that soup does not stick to bottom as it thickens. Extremely low heat works best once it simmers. Turn off; serve. Yummy!
