Ingredients

    Butter
    Walnuts
    Sugar
    Cinnamon
    Cloves
    Phyllo Dough
    Honey
    Lemon Juice
    Water

Directions

Melt butter and use a little to grease a deep 10x7 baking pan.
Make the filling walnuts, sugar, cinnamon and gloves mix well.
Cut sheets in half , use 1 to line the pan , brush with a litltle butter(keep dough covered with a damp dish towel while working)continue with half the dough brushing with butter between each.
Plac the filling in and continue to layer dough to the top.
Cut into diamonds or squares
Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 10 min.
reduce the oven temp. to 350 and bake for 20 more mins.
Just before the are done cooking make the honey syrup
Combine honey, lemon juice and the water in a sauce pan. simmer about 5 mins. untill combined.
When pastries are cooked pour syrup over the hot pastries.
Let cool cut along previous lines to divde into portions.

    I did the same I used splenda instead of the sugar and I didn't use the honey. I also used half butter and half corn oil. - 4/10/08
