Ingredients

4 cans 99% Fat Free Chicken Broth
2 large cans (13oz) chicken Breast in Water
    4 large tortillas
    1/2 cup flour

Directions

Bring chicken broth and chicken to a boil. Cut tortillas into pieces (approx. 2" x 2"). Drop tortillas into pot one layer at a time and cover with a lid. Allow broth to boil up through tortillas - you may have to gently push them down - sprinkle lightly with flour and then add another layer of tortillas. Repeat until all tortillas are in the pot. You may not need the whole amount of flour. It helps the tortillas not stick and thickens the broth. Cover and cook over low until ready to serve. Makes approximately 8 One cup servings.

OMG! Tortilla Dumplings won the Blue Ribbon at my house. My husband LOVEs chicken and dumplings I didn't add any flour my dumplings thickened up without it. When I was a kid, I had an aunt who made soda cracker dumplings for me. My first taste took me back to those dumplings I loved so much!! - 9/10/15

This is the way I have made dumplings for years, as did my mother. I add one ingredient though, I add a can of Cream of Mushroom soup. Gives it a richer flavor. It does add a few calories, but not much. - 1/20/12

    Very Good
So good I would say get low sodium chicken and chicken broth though it was alittle salty for my liking - 9/22/08

Very easy to make - My son loved it, as did I, although husband didn't like the "noodles". He ate it, but didn't finish. Next time I'll make a much smaller batch for just half the family. - 7/7/08
