Ingredients

    combine dry ingredients
    1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
    1/4 corn meal
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    8 grams wheat germ

    combine wet ingredients
    1 egg beaten
    1/4 c oil
    1 cup buttermilk

    add wet to dry and mix

    cook on med hot griddle.

    this is not a sweet pancake, so you can serve it with cooked fruit or with a main dish like bread.
