Ingredients

    Ingredients:

    2 cups dry split peas
    4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 cup chopped celery with leaves
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 cups broth (I used vegetable broth)
    3 cups water
    salt to taste (after it is cooked)

Tips

take a few cups and blend to make soup more creamy, then add back to the pot.


Directions

layer ingredients from bottom to top :peas, bacon, onions, celery, pepper broth, water. cook 8 hrs or until peas are tender. salt to taste
