Ingredients

    1/2 cup flaxseed, ground
    1/2 cup Basmati brown rice, ground
    1/2 cup quinoa, ground
    1/2 cup amaranth, ground

Tips

Heat 1 cup almond milk, coconut milk or rice milk in microwave. Pour the heated milk over 1/4 cup of cereal mix and allow to sit for 10 minutes (I do this first thing when I get up; it shortens cooking time). I also add 1/2 cup THRIVE freeze-dried cranberries or blueberries to sweeten this yummy cereal. When ready to cook, heat over low heat for about 5 minutes.


Directions

Grind each grain in a food processor or coffee grinder. Mix together and store in refrigerator until ready to use.

To cook one serving:
Add 1/4 cup of cereal mix to 1 cup of dairy-free milk substitute. Cook for 15 minutes over low heat until grains are soft--you may need to add 1/4 cup water.

Serving Size: 1/4 cup cereal mix makes about 1 1/4 cup hot cereal.
