Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    Inredients:
Flour, white, 1/2 to 1 cup (don't need too much flour, for thinner sauce and less calories)
Margarine, 70% vegetable oil spread, 2 tbsp
Milk, nonfat (skim milk), 125 grams
    Parsley, dried, 1 tbsp
Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz)

Tips

Can replace dried parsley with fresh, or replace with any other herb of choice: Fennel goes well with fish
Can add dried or fresh garlic; capsicum; broccoli; onions; mushrooms; etc.
Can use stock if you wish, but then don''t add too much salt
Can add cheese to taste, but watch out for calorie count: a teaspoon of grated parmesan can do wonders, as can a teaspoon of English Mustard powder.

Melt butter
Stir flour through until mixed
Add a bit of milk at a time while whisking each time to remove any clumps
Add water, using same method
Boil until floury taste gone, stir occasionally (about 10 mins)
Add dried parsley, salt and pepper to taste.
