Ingredients

    1 pound beef
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 cup white rice, uncooked,
    2.25 cups water
    2 cups salsa
    1 can black beans
    1 tsp ground cumin
    1 tsp garlic powder

    salt and pepper to taste

Tips

Optional toppings of corn chips or shredded cheddar cheese.


Directions

Brown beef and onions, drain fat. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook covered for 50 minutes.
