Ingredients
-
Almond flour
Coconut flour
Flax seed meal
Cream of Tartar
Chocolate chips
chopped walnuts
Coconut oil
Eggs
Medjool dates
Chia Seeds
Tips
I freeze the rest on a tray and put them in a plastic bag in freezer and just take out what I want to bake at a time.
These scones are very nutritional with no added sugar. The only sugar is in the chocolate. Other dried fruits can be substituted for dates such as cherries, cranberries, raisins etc.
Directions
Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl : almond flour, coconut flour, flax seed meal, walnuts, chia seeds, cream of tartar, chocolate chips and dates(pitted and chopped).
Mix together.
Add coconut oil and combine with fork or pastry cutter til crumbly.
Combine 4 eggs and whip. Add to bowl and combine.
Form into a disc about 12" in diameter and 1/2" thick. Cut into 12 wedges.
Bake in preheated 375degree oven for 15 minutes or more.
I only make 2-3 at a time.
