Ingredients

*Manischewitz Matzo Meal unsalted, 1 cup
*Oil (vegatable) 1 tbsp, 4 serving
Egg, fresh, whole, raw, 4 large
    Baking Powder, 2 tsp
    Garlic powder, 1 tsp
    *Onion powder, 1 tsp
    Parsley, dried, 1 tbsp
    Pepper, black, .5 tsp

Tips

other spices can be added! my MIL adds a half tsp. of cardamon. enjoy.

Directions

mix dry ingredients together in large bowl. in separate bowl mix eggs then add oil - mix till "just mixed" . add liquid to dry. mix gently - with a fork, till mixed. don't over mix! (like muffins). place in the fridge for an hour. bring a large pot of water to boil. (you can do this with the soup but the balls will absorb a lot of soup. we use a water with soup powder "soup" for the cooking of the balls and only move the balls to the "real" soup before serving). take the mixture out of the fridge and put 1-2" (nicely rounded tablespoons) into the boiling water/soup. don't mix. continue to add the balls in the boiling soup. when all the balls are in and have risen to the top, lower the flame to a good (rolling) simmer for about 40 minutes. after this, they can be eaten in soup or stew or frozen for future use. you can also refrigerate them for a day or so, if you want.
