    2 1/2 cups flour (spelt works well)
    1 C sugar
    1 C buttermilk
    1/4 lb butter (melted) (ie 1 stick)
    2 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 C fresh or frozen blueberries


Sift ingredients together into a large bowl. Make a well, add buttermilk, eggs and butter which has been melted. Mix well. Fold in blueberries (fresh or fozen). Fill well-greased muffin tins half full and bake at 400F for 20 minutes.
Serve warm.
Makes 18 muffins (depending on size of muffins tins)
