Introduction

This is a burger that I came up with to help get more veggies in my sons diet along with a little more fiber. I was also looking for a way to keep them low calorie so that I could eat them. Ingredients

    Ground Turkey
    bell peppers
    onion
    egg
    garlic powder
    flax seed (ground)
    oatmeal
    ketchup
    hamburger buns

Tips

Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the patties.
These are great with sweet potatoe fries on the side!


Directions

Preheat oven to 350- 400 degrees. Combine the ground turkey, onions, bell peppers, garlic powder, egg, flaxseed, oatmeal, and ketchup in a bowl (You can add other veggies or seasonings to suit your taste. Sometimes I change out the ketchup for bbq sauce to give a different flavor.) Spray abaking sheet with cooking spray.Make 6 burger patties and place them on a baking sheet. Place burgers in the oven for 20-25 minutes. You can top them with cheese in the last few minutes but that will change the calories listed. Take out of oven place on buns and top with your favorite burger toppings.
