Biscuits:
Flour, GF All Purpose (Robin-Hood), 1-3/4 cup
*Xanthan Gum, 1 tsp
Salt, 1/2 tsp
Zero Calorie Sweetener (Stevia in the Raw), 1 tbsp
Baking Powder, 1/2 tsp
Butter, Salted (No Name), 5 tbsp (75 grams)
Milk, Lactose Free 2% (Natrel), 1-1/4 cup
Cheddar, Old (No Name), 1 cup
Optional Topping:
2 tbsp (30 grams) butter, melted
1 clove garlic, minced
Tips
Topping:
1. While biscuits are baking, melt butter and mix with minced garlic.
2. When biscuits come out of the oven spoon butter/garlic mixture onto the biscuits in equal portions.
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
1. In a large bowl, sift together flour, salt, and baking powder.
2. Cut in softened butter until mixture has pea-sized flour-coated butter pieces throughout.
3. Make a well in the center of the mixture. Add the milk and cheese to the well and stir to combine.
4. Drop batter by spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes until lightly browned.
