Ingredients

16 oz Beef, ground, 80% lean meat / 20% fat, patty, cooked, broiled [hamburger, ground round]
6 cup obrien potatoes frozen (by ITSNEVER2LATE!)
2.5 serving Campbell Cheddar Cheese Soup 1/2c
3 cup Swanson unsalted beef broth
    .5 large Onion, chopped
4 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery, raw, chopped
8 serving Cheese-Velveeta slices Original flavor ---PR (1 slice)
    3 gram(s) Fresh Garlic (1 clove = 3g) (by AMBUDMAN)
any seasonings of your choice, usually whatever you use when grilling burgers. We use Famous Dave's burger/steak seasoning.

Tips

The original recipe I got had 2 cups of milk & 4 T of butter added to it. We don't add those b/c of the added cals & fat, along with it makes it more like a runny soup. We like more of a thicker stew for this recipe. We also add a little red pepper flakes to give it a kick. Some may not like that.

Directions

brown ground beef. Spray crock pot with cooking spray. Throw rest of ingredients, including seasonings, into crock pot while browning burger. Drain grease off burger when done. Lift burger out of pan & put in crock pot, turn on crock pot to low. Let cook all day long, at least 6 hours, 8 is better. Stir every 1/2 hour if possible the 1st 4 hours (not necessary, but helps in thawing the potatoes & mixing the cheese slices), then leave be the last 4 hours. Serve with whatever garnishings you wish. Some add pickles on top (yuck), some add sour cream (yuck), we add a few croutons or serve with warm homemade rolls.
