Ingredients

2 20 oz cans CHAOKOH young green jackfruit in brine or water
1 cup onion chopped finely
3 tsp Wright's hickory seasoning liquid smoke
3 tsp Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Cumin Powder
1 tsp Paprika
3 tsp Onion powder
3 tsp Garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne (or more to taste)
1 cup BBQ Sauce (Sweet Baby Rays Original)
3 clove Garlic
.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
2 tbsp Grapeseed Oil
Tips
Directions
Saute onion in grapeseed oil until edges start to brown
add shredded jackfruit- I do not remove seeds or core
cook until jackfruit starts to dry out somewhat
add spices and 1 cup of water stir to combine
cook on medium heat until all liquid is absorbed and starts to brown
add bbq sauce and stir to combine
spread iout onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 400 for 10 minutes
stir and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until edges are brown
place 1/4 cup of mixture on your desired bun
add additional sauce if desired or whatever other condiments you like.
note* additional sauce, bun, and condiments add extra calories.
