Ingredients
-
2.65 lb Beef chuck, arm pot roast
2 cups Broth, beef: Kitchen Basics, Unsalted, Beef Flavor Cooking Stock, 1 cup/serv
1 stick Butter, unsalted
5 serving Bolthouse Farms Baby-cut Carrots, 16oz,svg size 3oz (entire 16oz package)
2 serving Celery 1 cup chopped or 6 stalks
5 serving Mushrooms, Fresh, White Button, Sliced (12-15 oz)
10 tsp Gravy, au jus, dry McCormick, entire package
2 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap if needed towards end to cove veggies
Tips
You may add minced garlic from a jar to the meat or whole cloves to flavor infuse the meat during cooking. I always pierce the meat with a knife and push the minced garlic into the holes in the meat for a great flavor.
Directions
Turn crockpot on high and set for 61/2 hours. Add baby carrots and two cups of unsalted broth to the crock. Add diced celer as well, about two cups worth. Next place roast on top of veggies ad sprinkle the entire piece of meat with the packet of au jus gravy mix then place an entire stick of butter over and on top of the roast and cover crockpot with lid. Cook on high for about six hours then add mushrooms at the end and last half hour.
