Introduction
This dessert is definitely a splurge, but it's just not as good when you make it with substitutions...top with nonfat whipped cream instead of ice cream and you're at least being 'good'. Ingredients

5 c. fresh or frozen berries (or peaches)
2 c. flour
3 c. sugar, divided
1 c. milk
1/2 c. butter, soft unsalted
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt, divided
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. boiling water
Directions
Spread berries in a greased 9 x13 baking dish and set aside.
Mix flour, 1 1/2 cup sugar, milk, butter, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Spread mixture over berries.
Mix boiling water cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 1/2 cup sugar. Pour over cobbler.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Divide into 12 servings
