Introduction

This tortellini is a spin off from my favorite restaurant. Its a way to add some creaminess without the full blown calories. This tortellini is a spin off from my favorite restaurant. Its a way to add some creaminess without the full blown calories.

Ingredients

1 lb of Tortellini (a bag in the frozen section or pick up wheat tortellini - might be next to the cheese)
    1 jar of Bertolli maranaria
1 jar of Bertolli or Classico Alfredo (you will only need about 1/2 the jar)
.75 - 1 lb of lean ground beef

    Optional ingredients:
    Orgeano
    Red pepper flakes
    Parmesan cheese

Directions

The serving size is about a cup of the finished product. Pair this up with a nice green salad and perhaps a glass of red wine.

1.) Cook the ground beef in a deep sauce pan. Season with salt and pepper - to your liking. If you have some on hand add Italian seasoning or oregano or red pepper flakes to give it a kick.

2.) Boil 2 quarts of water for the pasta. Season the water with salt.

3.) When the meat is cooked drain the fat and place back on the stove.

4.) Add the jar of marinara sauce and about 1/4 to 1/2 of the alfredo sauce to the meat. (Eye-ball it...the sauce will turn pink.) Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.

5.) While the meat sauce is simmering add the pasta to the boiling water. The pasta will take about 10 minutes to boil (depending on the brand you purchased - please reference the package)

6.) When the pasta is cooked - drain the water.

7.) Add the cooked pasta to the meat sauce.

Tada! There you have a special tortellini. :) Add a sprinkle of parmesan on top.
